BLUE SAKURA's Kimono Jacket is made from Sashiko fabric from their Dento series. Sashiko fabric is made with multi-layered cotton fabric and is quilted geometrically (vertically, horizontally, diagonally) which gives its unique pattern. This fabric allows reinforcements and heat-retention.
In the cold regions of Japan, such as the Tohoku district, the fabric has been used for regular clothes, and also fie costumes during the EDO period.
These days, the material has been used as a martial art outfit and "Jikatabi" (rubber-soled socks).
They dyed the Sashiko fabric in Indigo color and used it as part of the material for the Kimono Jacket in the Dento series.
The jacket has delicate unique features like Tie string made with Selvage Tape, Side Hidden Pocket and Side Slit.
Finally, it is washed skillfully with traditional washing techniques to produce a vintage vibe.
This denim wear will surely bring something new to your collection.
